  • Designed to be robust and guaranteed for the life of the item
  • Conform to ISO 15693 and ISO 18000-3
  • All tags have enough memory to conform to ISO28560

FE Technologies also provides printed & encoded RFID tags for libraries.

Multipart AV Sets & Set Management

OneTimeTM lockable boxes let you leave your valuable DVD collection on the shelf. These boxes feature a unique unlocking method that is compatible with the FE Technologies V5 & S2 Self Loan Stations.

Audio visual items are best managed in sets in an RFID environment. A set is when an item has more than one part to it – for example a DVD consists of 2 parts which is the DVD itself and the DVD case. There are various set types and the most common being

  • Type 1 sets –where each part of the set has an RFID Tag. E.g. In a 2 part set the first RFID tag is part 1 of 2 parts and the second RFID tag is part 2 of 2 parts.
  • Type 2 sets –only the main part is tagged and the tag indicates how many parts are in the set. Visual check is made to ensure all parts are present.

FE Technologies are experts in set management and can recommend a solution that suits your library’s collection.

Retrospective Conversion

Libraries can convert their library to RFID without the need to close the library.  The process of conversion to RFID can be performed by using FE Technologies’ Mobile Retrospective Encoder (large volume) or Laptop Encoding Kit (LEK) available for rental.

The unit checks for duplicate RFID tags so the process is virtually error-free.
It’s a speedy process – the more operators the faster the conversion rate. What’s more, our conversion process will give you 100% security integrity from day 1 of RFID operations.

FE Technologies can also take over the whole conversion process by providing both management and staff resources to convert a library’s collection.
